CRICKET

The Junior Sports Programme will be providing two sets of junior golf equipment to Edingley Cricket Club.

A quick cricket tournament is being sponsored for local schools at Bingham Cricket Club.

The Junior Sports Programme will also be providing assistance in the form of cricket equipment to Bracebridge Heath Cricket Club.

FOOTBALL

The Junior Sports Programme provided a contribution towards the purchase of trophies for the junior tournaments at Collingham Football Club, which were held on the 10th and 17th May.

POP LACROSSE

The regional pop lacrosse tournament competing for the Hodgson Elkington Trophy was held at Toothill School on Wednesday 20th May.

The winning school was St. Peter's Church of England School, East Bridgford. The runners up were Gunthorpe Junior School.

The winners received Hodgson Elkington sponsored medals.

St. Peter's will now go forward to the national championships to be held at the University of Herfordshire on 14th June 2009.
