Ultimate FrisbeePeterborough Ultimate League in Ontario, Canada, have come forward with the offer of help for the JSP Ultimate project. PUL have been actively developing the sport for over 15 years. More recently they have developed a youth programme and have now shared with us their experience and excellent guidebook. Details and instructions are available on our Activities page. Expect to hear more about Ultimate in Lincolnshire schools this year as we receive growing demand for practice Frisbees (provided free, subject to availability).

Pop LacrosseThe Lincolnshire Pop Lacrosse Tournament was held at the Sleaford Sports Associations ground on a beautiful summers day on the 18th May.

Pop LacrosseThe Nottinghamshire pop lacrosse tournament was held at Nottingham Trent University in the Lee Westwood Sports Centre on the 5th June.
Schools from the north of the county ,the winners from Bassetlaw qualifying tournament being Worksop Priory, the winning schools from the Districts of Rushcliffe, Newark and Sherwood and Gedling qualifying from their respective tournaments.

For the second year the cricket ball throwing competition was run, open to all junior cricket clubs and schools in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. The competition is split into two categories -under 18's and under 12's.

Pop LacrosseSt. Hugh's from Woodhall Spa , Lincolnshire and St. Peter's Academy from East Bridgford Nottinghamshire represented the two counties as winners of their respective county tournaments at the National pop Lacrosse Tournament held at the Institute of Sport in Sheffield on the 25th June 2017.

Lincoln City Gymnastics Club held its 30th annual club competition on Saturday 1st July 2017. The competition was split into two rounds due to a record number of 86 entries.

Lindum Hockey Club was formed over the summer of 2015, merging the previous two hockey clubs in Lincoln of Lincoln Hockey Club and Lincoln Roses Hockey Club.
Lindum HC has developed and grown since merging in 2015. We are now one of the largest hockey clubs in the country with over 1000 people participating in hockey activities on a weekly basis.

Canoe Slalom athlete Ewan Vernon has since progressed up the rankings from division 1 up to the premiership for men’s canoe slalom since last reporting. He is now ranked 4th in the UK for all juniors 18 and under and 17th in men’s canoe slalom. His performance at the GB selection races in April earned him a spot as first reserve to represent GB in the Junior 2016 European and World Championships.

On Sunday 26th June 2016, Lincoln City Gymnastics Club hosted their Annual Club Competition at their own facilities located in SSPP school grounds. This was a very successful event with a record breaking 81 gymnasts entering, ready to showcase their talents to a welcoming and supportive audience.

The Junior Sports Programme working with Carre’s Grammar School in Sleaford have introduced the Olympic discipline of target pistol shooting to 9 primary schools in the Sleaford area.
