HockeyLincoln Roses Hockey Club were delighted to receive funding from the Junior Sports Programme to help set up a Junior Hockey section. The money was used to help purchase new equipment and pay for marketing materials used in and around the city.

HockeyNewark Otters and Beavers held their awards evening on 6th May 2011. Assistance was provided in the form of the annual Fair Play Award and shields for each age group winner.

Hockey
The Junior Sports Programme helped with funding to help purchase some new playing shirts for Lincoln Hockey Club's Under 12 and Under 14 teams. Each team plays in festivals that take place once a month at different venues across Lincolnshire.

Hockey, Individual SponsorshipGoalkeeper David Overton is a member of both Leadenham and Lincoln Hockey clubs. He was selected, following trials in Nottingham, for the England under 16’s squad for the home international tournament which was held in Cardiff in July 2007.

Fishing, Football, Hockey, Lacrosse
Pop lacrosse was a popular feature on the 30th July and 8th August when children from the surrounding areas including Boston were able to receive instruction on the game of lacrosse and enjoy the sport. We were also able to assist with the supply of practice footballs and water bottles.

Hockey, Individual Sponsorship
Shona McCallin, from Dry Doddington, was selected to play for the England under 16’s team. The team won the home international tournament which took place in Cardiff between the 24th and 27th July 2008.

Fishing, Football, Hockey, Lacrosse, Rugby, Swimming, TennisPop Lacrosse was an exhibition sport for the first time at the Lincolnshire Youth Games. Many children took the opportunity to the “have a go sessions”, and a number of teachers and SDO’s took details of the Junior Sports Programme which was promoted at the event.

HockeyApproximately 50 children between the ages of 6 and 16 receive coaching on the tennis courts at Leadenham. New Goals were required to assist in the coaching for all players, and particularly goalkeepers.
