Grantham Meres Leisure Centre was the venue for the Third annual Lincolnshire county.

Tae Kwon-Do championships on 7th November 2009. Over 500 people attended the event which included competitors, officials and spectators.

The day started at 9.30am with the novice section. Some competitors as young as five years of age competing for the first time.

As the day progressed the junior black-belts were in action in various disclipines, including flying kicks, patterns displays and free-sparring.

The day came to a close with the team events, which included junior team syncronised patterns and the popular tag-team sparring.

The Sleaford club run by instructor, Jill Pearce gained second place in the overall championships position and Grantham club instructor, Malcolm Scholes came third.
