The Junior Sports Programme contributed towards new training equipment for Metheringham Junior Football Club.

Metheringham U12s play in the Mid Lincs County Youth League in Division D. Metheringham has a long tradition with children and adult football - a real community football club.

The U12s side has proven to be popular for children in Metheringham and the surrounding villages and the team consistently has around 20 children attending the weekly training sessions.

Least season was the U12s first time on the 11-aside pitches and they finished a credible fourth along with being joint top goal scorers.

This season has started well with the team progressing through to the semi-finals of the Cooke & Connell Charity Cup (beating two teams from higher leagues on the way).
