Lincoln Roses Hockey Club were delighted to receive funding from the Junior Sports Programme to help set up a Junior Hockey section. The money was used to help purchase new equipment and pay for marketing materials used in and around the city.

The new junior section was set up in May 2012 and by the end of the Summer (August) 2012 we had engaged over 30 Juniors on a regular basis with the youngest member being 4.

It has been fantastic to see so many young sports people engage in a sport they had never taken part in before, we are looking forward to a successful future. The Junior section will see many take part in further training events with the EHB single system which will see not only Lincoln Roses Hockey Club but also Lincolnshire become a stronger force in the hockey world.

Over the coming months the Juniors will participate in festival events which will help to further develop the youngsters in match situations.
