Presentation of bicycles and helmets to LincolnTri

Back in June 2012, 130 cyclists took part in the 100 mile Castle 2 Coast 2 Castle (C2C2C) 2012 charity cycle ride and raised money for The Junior Sports Programme.
The cyclists set off from Lincoln Castle, to the East Coast and then back to Lincoln Castlen. If that wasn't challenge enough, around mid afternoon those taking part had to contend with thunder storms, torrential rain and flash floods.
The event raised £5,000 for the Junior Sports Programme Trust. We are pleased to announce that some of the money raised recently helped us to provide LincolnTri with bicycles and cycle helmets for their junior programme.
LincolnTri has a large and active junior section which produces some outstanding athletes as well as providing an excellent opportunity for all children to enjoy sport.
The LincolnTri Juniors meet every Friday night (except during school holidays) at Yarborough Leisure Centre, Riseholme Road, Lincoln, LN1 3SP, and cater for athletes aged between 7 and 18 years.
Sessions are based around running skills, bike handling skills, general fitness, transition skills and the rules of triathlon. Sessions are designed with fun in mind and are delivered by qualified British Triathlon (BTF) coaches.
