The Junior Sports Programme was able to assist seventeen year old Olivia Leslie towards her travelling expenses to training and matches.

Olivia after a rigorous trial/selection process at Doncaster Belles Ladies Football Club (top of WSL2) was selected for the development squad or what used to be known as the reserves. She is really keen to continue to develop as a person and a player and is excited to be part of a progressive club with some excellent coaching and personnel to support her development. To get to this point she was spotted (by Richard Cooper) at Nettleham under 8’s and has subsequently played at the Lincolnshire FA girls centre of excellence (in its various guises) for 8 years progressing through all age groups and was one of the squad that won the North East region league in 2013/14 and runners up by one point in the East league the following year. She loves the challenge that the sport offers and was identified as gifted and talented and was in the Lincolnshire Sport program delivered at the University Of Lincoln until she was too old to attend. Wishing to extend her knowledge beyond simply being a player she has gained both a referees licence (lowest level) and have refereed numerous games at LCFC boys academy, Lincoln Griffins charity day, Keith Alexander memorial tournament and disability matches as well as level 1 coaching award which she hopes to gain experience with a local team (time/commitment permitting). Her interest in sport extends beyond football and has the occasional game of golf with her father, runs and cycles regularly and will soon re-commence strength and conditioning training in preparation for the step up. She is interested in academia and attends The Priory LSST and hope that her upcoming GCSE results reflect the effort she has put in revising/learning the various subjects. She is unsure where her academic path will lead and commence A levels in Sept and in the coming months will make decisions on future paths deciding where her career interests lie. The JSP wish her every success with her future sporting ambitions.
