Lincoln City Gymnastics Club held its 30th annual club competition on Saturday 1st July 2017. The competition was split into two rounds due to a record number of 86 entries.

The gymnasts competed in either their recreational class or for the competitive gymnasts, at their respective county level. All the girls competed over 4 pieces of equipment: vault, bars, balance beam and a floor routine and there were medals and trophies galore on offer (with the assistance of a kind donation of £50 from The Junior Sports Programme) for the top three in each class or level as well as the top three on each piece of apparatus. Every gymnast received a Certificate for their efforts. The event was wonderfully supported by all the committee, coaches and volunteers who helped the competition run smoothly on the day and the spectators who came and encouraged and supported all the gymnasts. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and all the gymnasts should be very proud of their achievements, particularly those for who it was their first ever competition! Below are the overall winners of each class or level:

Beginners: Lexi Flannery

Improvers: Amelia MacDonald

Advanced: Kelsie MacDonald

Junior Development Level 7: Eleanor Mattison

Development Level 7: Emily Jackson

Level 6: Libby Minta

Level 5: Erin Hunt
