The Nottinghamshire Pop Lacrosse Tournament was held on Tuesday the 4th June at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre at Nottingham Trent University. Ten schools took part, each qualifying from their district tournaments. The event was extremely competitive,showing that the standard of lacrosse is improving each year. The winners were Morven Park , from Sutton in Ashfield who will represent Nottinghamshire going forward to the National Championships which are being held in Sheffield on Sunday the 23rd June. The runners up were St. Peter’s from East Bridgford and third were Burton Joyce. The top three teams were presented with Junior Sports Programme Pop lacrosse medals. All children enjoyed the day, and the opportunity of playing competitive lacrosse in a tournament format.
