It is expected that Nathna's junior and senior ranking positions should change dramatically when the May rankings are issued due to some very good wins at recent tournaments.

Nesta received a letter a couple of days ago to confirm that she will be fighting for Great Britian in the World Championships in Italy in September. She is also fighting in Italy in June in the Best Fighter tournament.

    Daniel Fleming is a 15 year old discus thrower. At the time of writing, in the 3 seasons he has been competing in so far, he has become county champion twice, eastern champion twice, 4th place in nationals and finished 8th in the UK rankings for 2011. Daniel also broke the county championships record for discus last season.

    Beverly (Lee) Cupit is a 16 year old paralympic from Lincolnshire who broke the junior age records last year for both Shot and Discuss. Lee, who suffers from cerebral palsey and hemiplegia, is currently ranked fifth in the World Junior Rankings for Shot Put.

    Danielle Hopcroft, 15, plays for Lincoln Youth Bowling Club and Lincolnshire in competitions held throughout the country. Danielle has also represented the county in the under 18 age group whilst only 14. Her dedication and talent has now been rewarded in being selected to play for the Great Britain Junior squad and Hodgson Elkington were pleased to assist with the purchase of a new bowling ball in order that she make the required progression in the sport.

    The Junior Sports Programme will be sponsoring rowing champion Andrew Haigh again in 2005. Clubbing together with other local businesses, the programme has helped to equip Andrew with a Luinguin Single Scull which will be used to compete in the Great Britain Sculling Trials at Boston on 23rd October.
